Sell internationally
Let shoppers outside India complete checkout in the widget — card payment, collected in ₹ INR, with your own worldwide delivery rate.
IndiSell's checkout is built phone-first for India — OTP login, UPI, COD. International checkout adds a parallel path for shoppers outside India: a single delivery form and a card payment, collected in ₹ INR through your own gateway. No currency conversion happens on IndiSell — the shopper's bank converts at their card rate.
How it works for the shopper
- On the checkout's phone step they tap "Ordering from outside India?".
- One form: name, email, phone with country code, country, worldwide address.
- They see the subtotal, your international delivery fee, the total in ₹, and your customs note.
- They pay by card — no OTP step (the order is prepaid-only, so the successful charge is the verification), no COD, no UPI.
- Order lands in Shopify tagged International, and updates go by email (SMS/WhatsApp are India-only rails and are skipped automatically).
Switching it on
Two switches, both required:
International checkout is enabled per store by the IndiSell team — contact [email protected] to activate it.
In Payments, open your gateway and switch on International cards. Razorpay, PayU and Cashfree accounts must have international payments activated by the provider first — check with them. Stripe needs no toggle: connecting it makes your store international-capable automatically.
Until both are on, the "Ordering from outside India?" link simply sends shoppers to your Shopify checkout — nothing breaks.

FAQ
Why no OTP for international shoppers? SMS OTP is an India-only rail, and every international order is prepaid — nothing ships until the card charge succeeds, so the payment itself is the verification.
Can international shoppers use COD? No. COD (and Partial COD) is India-only; the server rejects any attempt.
Which currency is the shopper charged in? Yours — ₹ INR. Their bank converts it at the card's exchange rate and may add a small foreign-transaction fee. The checkout says this next to the total.
What about customs and duties? They're between the shopper and their local customs authority. Your customs note at checkout sets the expectation; the default wording covers the standard carrier-collects case.
